Water slide

Water slide
Fall me safely
Into earth’s embrace
Confirm the falsity of my fears
Where I may find joy without them
Lost in discomforting exhilaration
That every structure ought collapse
But doesn’t for my weight is not enough
Where I seem fast and safely crash
I’ve aged and my park of childhood dreams remains the same
Where I punched my buddies warring games
And all fell dead
And yet came by the very next day
To kick a ball
And climb a wall
And hide from mom and dad
And hide from unknown sorrows
Where not a kiss was warranted
For it would be to kiss us
Having done so going down that water slide
